There are 3 local Sake breweries in Omachi. Each brewery has long history and passion to brew unique Sake using pure water and locally cultivated rice.

When talk about food culture, those Sake cannot be missed.

In every fall, there is a big tasting event held in downtown. Visitors from all over Japan come to Omachi to taste each brewery's unique Sake.

Wachigai offers tasting sets in order to enjoy each brewery's Sake, also seasonal Sake and Nama-Sake (fresh Sake) along with local dishes.
